Barel Architects, led by Arch. Oren Bar-On and Arch. Fanny Bar-On Elkaslassi, specializes in the design of diverse projects: residential buildings, public facilities, commercial and industrial structures, and urban renewal. We believe in high-quality, tailor-made planning that seamlessly combines aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability – creating an optimal user experience.
We completed our academic training both in Israel and abroad, earning a Master’s degree (MSc) in Architecture with a specialization in ecological architecture. Upon returning to Israel, we established Barel Architects in the center of the country – a firm that blends extensive experience with creativity, a youthful spirit, and a contemporary vision.
Our team supports the client from the initial concept, through analyzing needs and balancing budgets with client requirements, coordinating with authorities and consultants, and obtaining the necessary permits – all with professionalism and complete transparency.
We manage the planning and progress process using the Masterplan system – an advanced tool that enables thorough tracking at every stage of the project, efficient coordination with all stakeholders, and continuous updates for the client – from the initial concept to the final design stage before execution.
The roots of our firm are deeply anchored in a family tradition of architecture and design. Oren Bar-On grew up in a home where architecture was a way of life, inspired by his father, Arch. Bar-On Hefetz – an architect and civil engineer, one of the founders of Be’er Sheva and a senior public figure who served as Deputy Mayor and Chairman of the Union of Cities. As a leading architect, he left a significant mark on the city.
Our experience in residential projects and urban renewal began early in our careers, working in my father’s firm, Bar-On Architects. During this time, we participated in numerous projects, including the Migdaley Chen project – an important and significant urban renewal initiative in which the well-known and legendary Chen Cinema building in Be’er Sheva’s Bet neighborhood was demolished and replaced by a high-rise building combining commercial and residential spaces. This project, initiated and designed by Arch. Bar-On Hefetz, created a meaningful design change in the city as a whole and particularly in the neighborhood.
In every project, we aim to create a high-quality place – a building that harmonizes with its surroundings, meets the needs of its users and the community, and brings real added value to the client.
